Watchable , Campy. Evel contemplates retirement, Helps alcoholic friend reunite with his son, Finds romance, Battles drug dealers in Mexican desert, Popping wheelies and doing alot of unremarkable jumps, Evel does manage to be the movie's most charismatic person, Considerable since he goes up against Hollywood pros like Gene Kelly, Red Buttons, and Leslie Nielsen, Supporting cast includes Dabney Coleman, Frank Gifford, Lauren Hutton who looks amazing, and Marjoe Gortner surprises by not playing a total sleaze.

This isn't a great movie by any stretch of the imagination but it is an enjoyable one. The character version of Evel Knievel in this movie (to distinguish from the real person) reminds me a lot of the character versions of himself that El Santo would play on film.

This film probably isn't as faithful to the real Knievel as it tries to be, which makes him a bit silly at times. Otherwise- it's a pretty long dull movie. The drama isn't that exciting, and the plot is very generic. It never gets as exciting as you'd think it would be.

A death defying motorcycle daredevil, Evel Knievel, goes on a tour in Mexico, where a group of drug smugglers are plotting to sneak cocaine past the U.S. boarder in his truck - and his coffin. Starring famous real life daredevil Knievel as himself, and strangely also starring Gene Kelly in a supporting role and Leslie Nielsen as a baddie, this film is a laughable disaster.
