A mountain of self-love, revealing stunt biker Knievel as a saintly combination of Batman and Billy Graham. Go to Full Review

Evel the actor emerges from the wreck in better shape than the bent careers of his veteran co-stars, Gene Kelly, Marjoe Gortner, Red Buttons, Lauren Hutton and Leslie Nielsen. Go to Full Review

Its as moth-eaten a movie as youll ever see, with only the messianic egomania of its star to differentiate it from a thousand other duds. Go to Full Review

Evel Knievel stars as Evel Knievel in a film about Evel Knievel. Nothing more need be said. Go to Full Review

This amazingly kitsch one-off stars the man himself, a non-actor if ever there was one, in a movie so absurd it simply has to be seen to be believed. Go to Full Review

CodyZamboni Z 11/13/2024 Watchable , Campy. Evel contemplates retirement, Helps alcoholic friend reunite with his son, Finds romance, Battles drug dealers in Mexican desert, Popping wheelies and doing alot of unremarkable jumps, Evel does manage to be the movie's most charismatic person, Considerable since he goes up against Hollywood pros like Gene Kelly, Red Buttons, and Leslie Nielsen, Supporting cast includes Dabney Coleman, Frank Gifford, Lauren Hutton who looks amazing, and Marjoe Gortner surprises by not playing a total sleaze. See more 11/22/2020 This isn't a great movie by any stretch of the imagination but it is an enjoyable one. The character version of Evel Knievel in this movie (to distinguish from the real person) reminds me a lot of the character versions of himself that El Santo would play on film. See more 07/27/2016 This film probably isn't as faithful to the real Knievel as it tries to be, which makes him a bit silly at times. Otherwise- it's a pretty long dull movie. The drama isn't that exciting, and the plot is very generic. It never gets as exciting as you'd think it would be. See more 02/01/2015 Clearly an Evel Knieval vanity project and a somewhat fascinating one. Leslie Nielsen is the bad guy and it's kind of awesome. See more 03/15/2014 The perfect movie for any MST 3K types to have fun with! See more 01/11/2014 A death defying motorcycle daredevil, Evel Knievel, goes on a tour in Mexico, where a group of drug smugglers are plotting to sneak cocaine past the U.S. boarder in his truck - and his coffin. Starring famous real life daredevil Knievel as himself, and strangely also starring Gene Kelly in a supporting role and Leslie Nielsen as a baddie, this film is a laughable disaster.
