Really wanted to like this since Charisma Carpenter is in it, but just couldn't. Her character is not fleshed out, and her role, while significant to the story, is more of a bystander than in on the action. Decent effects, but slow story buildup and an ending that is telegraphed early on. Not good enough.

I love bad horror movies, but this one isn't even in "B" territory. The script must have read much better than the final product - how else did they get such a decent cast? Lots of familiar faces including the beautiful Charisma Carpenter! Unfortunately, mostly notable for how badly executed it was. A mix of genres (with a LOT of liberties taken) and stereotype characters that never quite came together.

I love Charisma Carpenter, but this was just bad. Nobody could act, there wasn't much plot, and the effects and production were terrible. I didn't have the highest of expectations for this, but I was still disappointed.

Obviously watched this as Carisma Carpenter was in it. This is a bad B-movie with dodgy effects and bad acting but it was really funny and I couldn't not stop watching it.

For a low-budget venture, Voodoo Moon has quite a bit going for it. First off, it has a great cast including Jeffrey Combs, Dee Wallace and Charisma Carpenter. Secondly, it really does have a fun concept behind it: a pair of siblings work together to take vengeance on the demon that destroyed their hometown. Unfortunately, Voodoo Moon is sinfully slow, and does absolutely nothing to hold your attention while it plods from plot point to plot point. By the time the movie recovers at the climax, it's already too late. The dead space in the middle has simply killed the film. Overall, it's not a complete waste of time, but there's definitely better movies out there similar to this one.

The movie was all right for a viewing, but slightly disappointing overall. It would have benefited from a richer screenplay and, as far as the effects go, a bigger budget. The story was interesting and made me want to learn more about the history of the protagonists, as well as some supporting players.
