      dave j Second movie actor Joseph Cotten starred with Alida Valli with the first being The Third Man, has a stranger, (Cotten) posing as Chris Hale arriving to small town with no objectives, and manages to befriend and take refuge with an lonely old lady, Mrs. Brentman (Spring Byington) to landing himself a job pursuing for a love interest, unbeknownst his dark past which involves in card sharking.
