Audience Member Nothing wolf-like remotely... The "werewolves" have different attributes every time on screen. Also, they don't really do anything in the movie. What is the point of a "horror" when looking in the mirror in the morning is more terrifying? The most frightening thing on screen is the acting. Rated 0.5/5 Stars •  Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Brilliant title for a film, sounds totally cool, its just a shame the film isn't as good. Group of soldiers get attacked by werewolves (the locals) in the field and come home to find themselves changing, the transition is painful and mentally destroying on certain members. Reasonable concept that is explored...reasonably, but nothing much happens during the film with very little wolf action, when there is some action it seems the director has seen 'Near Dark' and tried to imitate that for werewolves (the bar scene). The makeup on the characters near the finale as they turn is a cross of wolf features mixed with human features, not the full blown werewolf look but a humanoid look with pointy ears, fangs and nose makeup which has been done before and better than this to be honest. Best thing in the film is probably the cute and charming duo of Thomerson and Saxon as a pair of old bickering ex-military men after the wolves. Saxon the more rigid straight laced by the books ex-general with Thomerson the wisecracking, bend the rules rambunctious sidekick. A TV movie that is slightly better than most but not good enough for major release, still fun for werewolf fans though. The finale sequence for Thomerson is a heart breaker I can't deny, surprisingly strong for such a film. Unfortunately, the best thing about this movie is the all to uncommon appearances of Tim Thomerson and John Saxon (and the awesome cameo from Martin Cove). They're fantastic and have all the best lines. A good movie could probably be made using the general idea, but this isn't it. And its made for TV nature limits it subdued violence, tease T&A, and uncomfortable pacing (got to make room for those commercials). The awful 'metal' music used for a score is difficult to sit through, too. Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting supporting cast of genre stalwarts including John Saxon, Tim Thomerson and Adrienne Barbeau just appear to be going through the motions in this "Dog Soldiers" wannabe. Jack Ford, former special ops soldier has been infected with a werewolf virus and along with a trio of sexy female, newly-turned lycanthropes sets about spreading said disease through the U.S. Ford's men must stop them before they are attacked themselves. Daft when it isn't boring; with tacky prosthetics and makeup which look like they were purchased from a halloween costume store.
