The storyline for this film is inconsistent. This film contains vampires, World War II references, two villains fighting Liu as well as each other, a love story, and a father and daughter villain tandem. Luckily, the audience only needs to understand Gordon Liu’s character’s scenes. “That lying bitch must have been cheating me.” The boat shootings, the roasted chicken request, the vampire crossing sequence, the fight and shootings at the dinner table, the conversation with the mother in the alley, the fight on the wooden path with the clubs, the brothel sequence, the marketplace beating, Liu’s revenge during the fight in the street, Liu being tortured, the jailbreak, the two men getting beat out of their clothes, Fat Dragon’s demise, and the father’s demise were amongst the better portions of the film. “Fat Dragon, this is great. Gordon Liu is brilliant in this limited but action packed role. Liu’s character is believable despite the outrageous sequences he finds himself encountering. The choreography is first rate and breathtaking. There is also a solid blend of comic relief sprinkled in throughout the picture. This is not Liu’s best picture, but it is certainly worth watching. “You go to hell you good for nothing!” Grade: B Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
