Audience Member Important issues and an intimate personal story, but there's nothing ground breaking about this documentary. It doesn't really use a style and feels unnecessarily commercialised with the introduction of major musical names. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member a film that is sososo....touching I feel myself so lucky to have a wonderful life until now, I feel the precious of being happy they sing all the time and they are happi , they smiles they actually made me feel tough to faced any problems we faced , becuz there are nothing we are worse than their situation. although it's a film to let us aware of that specific organisation, it's unlike a promotion ,not too cheesy I really love this film , made me laugh n made me cry too x Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Very beautiful movie. Nathan Lee New York Times You've seen this sort of thing before, but the film, directed by Paul Taylor, happens to be especially well photographed, and the youngsters more winning than most. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 7, 2008 Full Review Drew Toal Time Out This film about orphans in South Africa would be satisfying even if the only good thing about it were its refreshing lack of Bono. Rated: 4/6 Jul 2, 2008 Full Review Matt Noller Slant Magazine The specter of the AIDS crisis is raised on several occasions, but never as anything more than a way to elicit easy sympathy. Rated: 2/4 Jul 2, 2008 Full Review Dorothy Woodend The Tyee (British Columbia) We Are Together is never less than a deeply human film, and a beautiful testimony to the power of music and family. Aug 22, 2017 Full Review Jeffrey Overstreet Looking Closer Compared to the reality-TV programs that wring manufactured drama from manipulated situations, We Are Together is an example of admirable restraint.
