Professor Ellery Standish (Hugh Herbert) and his wife, Susan (Una Merkel), welcome their old college friends Phil (Walter Abel) and Glenn (Charles Butterworth) back to campus during homecoming weekend. Frustrated that Ellery has been ignoring her while working on his new book, Susan pursues her old schoolgirl crush on Phil, much to the displeasure of his wife, Nina (Edith Atwater).
