      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

It's decidedly uneven -- and surprisingly sappy for an early Adam Sandler comedy -- but The Wedding Singer is also sweet, funny, and beguiling.

Hank N Once you seen one Adam Sandler movie, you've seen them all. A likeable, nice guy meets a pretty girl above his range who inexplicably falls for him, combined with some elements of gratification where the good guy sticks it to the bad guy. They are executed reasonably well, and this one is one of his definitive films. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/29/24 Full Review Meam B Probably my all time favorite movie of all time. How does this not have a higher rating! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Eye C This movie has aged very well. The jokes, the chemistry between Sandler and Barrymore and the 80s setup makes this movie truly a classic. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review Brian D 64%. Seen it once before and thought I remembered it being funnier but didn't think it had too many lol moments. Love Billy Idol at the end tho. 1.5 rewatch. No big need to rewatch if I'm looking for an old comedy that hits Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Vintage Adam Sandler who pairs very well with Drew Barrymore. Plenty of 80’s nostalgia and killer soundtrack. Sandler has his usual entourage that help round out a good story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
