Years ago, committed DEA agent John Lawlor fell in love with Joey Kwang, a Taipei-based transport driver working in the criminal underworld, but was forced to flee due to tragic circumstances. After all the stunts and chases and bloodshed, "Weekend in Taipei" is all about a wholesome sense of #family. Then again, you might forget what the movie was about as soon as it ends.

Weekend in Taipei has a mashup of action movie clichés and some cornball comedy. It's a lackluster and stiffly acted story about an American law agent who goes to Taipei and gets involved in the problems of his ex-lover and her corrupt husband.
