WWJB is an eye opening doc about consumerism that manages to be both funny and informative.

Rated: 4.9/10 Jun 12, 2010 Full Review Wesley Lovell Cinema Sight This funny, yet thought provoking film asks many questions that have plagued consumerism for decades. While much of the ground tracked over is old, it fits perfectly into the modern economic situation. juli k I think this movie should be shown every week starting in September (as that seems to be when they start displaying Christmas decorations in the stores) on through December! To the critics of this movie, it might help to remember that the only way the creators can make their point is in a very tongue in cheek/snarky manor, otherwise it comes off as being "preachy". (pun intended ;) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Shopocalypse is upon us! "you dont have to buy a gift to give a gift" - rev billy Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked it...I couldn't figure out if Reverend Billy is completely sincere in his evangelical preaching style or if it's supposed to be ironic. He seems to have a cult status with wise-ass college students, judging by the audience members at his appearances. Makes some good points in a criazzzy style. Worth a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Available on Youtube. Converted to good quality video, though. Excellent stuff: the ideology, the bus crash, the exorcism at Walmart HQ, the Disneyland infiltration and much much more. What a man, Rev Billy - and what a choir. And what a message too. Watch this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Bravo! Delicious blend of humor and outrage at America's dehumanizing consumerism. Using satire to shake and wake us this film is as entertaining as it is relevant. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member funny insigtful documentary about consumerism during the holidays Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
