Linda Chorney proves herself not only a talented singer, but a true fighter and advocate for artists who cannot break through the massive Grammy machine. I loved her story and the way this documentary tells it. It is clever, funny, and refreshingly honest. There are no flashy bells and whistles here, just the real reel of how the industry works and one tenacious, talented woman who dares to say it does not have to be this way. Chorney comes across as brave and genuinely funny, and the film does not shy away from the moments meant to make her doubt herself and her talent. Instead, it shows how she pushes forward and, in doing so, invites us to question the system itself. A fun, engaging watch that keeps you intrigued until the very end. I loved it.
