Liz Smith Cosmopolitan [Davis] gives a vitally alive performance, and it is a welcome relief to see this great pro on the screen again in a part she needn't be ashamed of. Steve D The acting is strong, the morals are confused. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review John M This is a trash masterpiece with many great quotable lines and over-the-top performances. The one bit of levity is a lovely cameo my Janet Greer. Otherwise, sit back and let it rip. You will have a great time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I read the book ten years ago so I wanted to see What the is like. Susan Hayward and Bette Davis are the best. The film is More like a soap opera. I like melodramas from the 1950's, e g Immitation of life, bur this is not one of the best. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review michele a Story of Lana Turner Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member harold robbin's melodrama. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a melodramatic, yet disastrous feast! It has Susan Hayward and Bette Davis (The two reasons to see this.) The plot is far-fetched and yet addictive. It screams sex scandal, money, and DRAMA! It's really campy with such dialogue as "You're not a woman, you're a disease!" and "When you're dying of thirst, you drink fronm a mud hole". Those quotes justify that it's worth seeing! Does it make sense? Not exactly...but it's totally addictive and memorable! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
