The MacLaine-Lange pairing is good but not great, though I'd be hard-pressed to tell you exactly why. Maybe it's because you don't feel any depth to their friendship, and they're supposed to be best friends. Go to Full Review

These veteran actresses deserve better material than this predictable, cliche-riddled script. Go to Full Review

Senior-citizen adventure-comedy is unlikely to engage teens. Go to Full Review

A well-intentioned comedy starring good, extremely likeable veteran actors, all of whom deserve a much sharper screenplay. Go to Full Review

Test T @TestTest1 Aug 18 I watched this on DVD recently. It's a story about an elderly widow who cashes an insurance cheque which she knows to be an erronias overpayment, and then goes on holiday with her close friend. I found it a very uneven film to watch. It starts off quite slow, and it was not until around 25 minutes in that I started to enjoy it. Sadly, this did not last, as it goes off track again towards the end with an overly complicated dramatic ending. It's not all bad though. For the most part it's set in attractive sunny surroundings, and some scenes are quite engaging. The problem is, the film relies on this too much when the story is so weak and inconsequential. When the credits roll it just feels like a storm in a teacup has quietly concluded which I found odd. Overall, I can't really recomend it, but it's ok if you have time on your hands. See more Rebecca V Jun 10 It took me hours just to watch the first 30 minutes it was so annoying and aggravating.. I couldn't watch the whole thing for fear it would just keep getting worse... so for a review of the first 30.. that I kept turning off. And then going back trying to watch.. no thankyou. Sorry. I love Shirley, Jessica and Demi.. but I could not even get thru the first 30 minutes... See more KJ L May 31 The key to liking this movie is age and wisdom. Appreciating the depth of talent combined in these actresses is enough. The nuances of their skill is enough. Shirley playing a school teacher after all her other more boisterous roles is enough. Jessica playing a betrayed, sex-starved woman facing a threatening future is enough. This movie also had great one-liners for the older generation. We enjoyed it immensely! And it was way more than enough. See more Graham Y 10/08/2024 Why would a decent cast agree to participate in such a poor and unfunny script / story? See more Toomuch P 09/09/2024 Another movie about silly, horny old ladies. Too bad it’s a waste of a good cast See more marie-ange V 06/21/2024 I can’t even comment on this movie - it was so ridiculous — just bad! See more Read all reviews
