Kenneth G Done well, but hard to watch 😢 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/21 Full Review Jamie G I understand depression but I hated how the wild cats and the girl were treated. They should have went to a sanctuary or professional care givers. I hope this young man finds peace without tormenting another human or animal. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/04/23 Full Review Tommy P It is a must-watch, but when it comes to first impressions, Khadija O.O. (rather Wildcat) is an appropriate title, given her specific instructions to her rescuer were to address her as "Ms (Kat) Young, Operations Officer." Naming the movie Khadija O.O. would be as dark as it is profound, as her Muslim tormentor obviously feared her Muslim name. It is common for distributors to impose bland and corny title changes for marketing, but Jonathan Stokes (director and writer) said he chose the title because "Wildcat does tell her story a bit because it's her (CIA) code name." Blockbusters usually span multiple locations, explosions and drama, but Stokes servers a one-chamber seat-of-the-pants thriller delivering a screenplay with a glossary of convincing CIA protocols and terminology. Nell Minow RogerEbert.com It's the blurring of boundaries that makes Wildcat more than just an excruciating series of intensifying scenes of torture, disorienting for the audience as well as the characters. Rated: 3/4 Apr 23, 2021 Full Review Valerie Kalfrin AWFJ.org The film tips its hand a little early ... but Georgina Campbell, who won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress for 2014's Murdered by My Boyfriend, turns in a gripping performance. Jun 3, 2021 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion While 'Wildcat' is meant to be a nerve-racking battle of wits, it remains pretty much a stolid intellectual exercise that never takes off. Rated: C- May 10, 2021 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Thoughtful drama on terrorists, that focuses on torture as a means of gathering information. Rated: B- Apr 29, 2021 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Georgina Campbell is so mesmerizing she elevates every aspect of this movie. Rated: 6/10 Apr 25, 2021 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Downplaying the broader sociopolitical context, the film doesn't develop the characters sufficiently to raise the emotional stakes.
