C C Ten minutes of watching the side of a man's face. Ten minutes of watching a car drive on a road. Ten minutes of watching a man holding a microphone. Ten minutes of a man throwing acorns to the ground. Ten minutes of watching a man snap branches. Lol good way to hold an audience captive. This far in and I couldn't take it anymore. I decided watching paint dry would be more exciting and not a complete waste of time like this movie. No deep messages in this film, no profound revelations, no less is more trickery for those who seen something that wasn't there. Just low budget garbage, plain and simple. It's a slow burn of glacial proportions and not much happens. I really clicked with the beginning because I have done a lot of audio recording like that. The funny thing to me is how the sound is mixed/mastered on this. I busted out my Youlean loudness meter and most of the movie barely registers at -50 LUFS, then...of course...BOOM! Huge jumpscare sounds at like -8 dBFS. I watched it on Tubi, so I don't know if they screwed up the mix or something. This is not how most movies are mixed/mastered and I would like to think it's on purpose, given the idea behind the movie, but it makes it hard to watch if you have roommates, are in an apartment, or whatever. Horrorific Game of Hide and Seek The situation is very unfavorable for our main character, out alone and far from any type of assistance. We now have a predator on our hands, who has shown willingness to pursue with unyielding tenacity. Such an unnerving situation to be in, every sound world be interpreted as some terrifying and unseen danger.
