A classy quiet horror film. Very much in the vogue of other recent Irish horror films but that's no bad thing. Quiet, unsettling horror is by far the most disturbing and this ticks those boxes. The only really poor moment is the flashing light section!

A slow paced, slow building visual and psychological horror that will keep you guessing up until the end when that relieved, excited "Ohhhhh! I get it!" leaves your mouth. Very fun lore and a very interesting unique story. Very well done!

I love these sorts of slow-paced, atmospheric horrors, especially when they're not American (no offense, America). Although this film won't be for everyone and the feelings of terror are subtle and more complicated then, say a slasher flick, 'Without Name' is not without fear. It's just of the unusual kind. It's a beautiful film to see, complimented by a good cast and an intriguing story that takes its sweet time to unravel...and even when it does reach the end, it still remains mysterious and open-ended. Good stuff, but don't come at me if you didn't feel the same way!

A hallucinatory forest experience catapulted on film. Excellent cinematography and a powerfully atmospheric sound track. Probably not most folks cup of tea though, maybe the more widely travelled (in a psychic sense) will appreciate it more.

Forewarned I'm not the hugest fan of slow burns unless they can really get you intrigued, and this a very slow burn that had trouble doing so. Its a eco-horror of man vs nature, and nature wins as usual. Its quite slow without much of a pay off. Everything is laid out plainly for you to see. Nature in this case has now taken down 2/2 men that tried to assess/understand it. I just wish there was more to it, other than just 2-3 creepy shots of the woods. I would only recommend this to lovers of slow burns as well as eco-horrors.

Through disorienting pull focuses & the hallucinatory play of light & shadow on tree trunks, Finnegan conjures the suggestion of a pagan presence in this eerily numinous maze of branches, & lets the viewer, along with Eric, become lost in the woods.
