Seeking solace from his dark past, Logan (Hugh Jackman), better known as Wolverine, seems to have found love and contentment with Kayla Silverfox (Lynn Collins). Logan's peaceful existence is shattered when Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber), his vicious brother, brutally murders Kayla. While X-Men Origins: Wolverine is often seen as underrated, I can understand why it’s not considered the greatest. Seeing Gambit was a cool addition, and he was definitely done better in Deadpool and Logan. Although Deadpool's portrayal in this film was a bit off, it laid the groundwork for the fantastic Deadpool that followed. The movie offers a solid backstory, and I particularly enjoyed the dinner table scene, though I think Logan executed that type of emotional moment even better. Overall, this film has its flaws, but it’s enjoyable enough to warrant a 4 out of 5.
