      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Sebastian Gutierrez certainly has an eye for the beauty of the female form, but Women in Trouble lacks a compelling script or point of view to go with its curvaceous visual appeal.

Daniel S Girl boss bs! Go watch paint dry, you will thank me. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review dax h I really expected this movie to suck, and it didn't. Only watched it because of one reviewer's good review, and I'd have to say he was right, it was a good movie. If you watch it with someone, you need to be really comfortable with that person, because there are some uncomfortable moments, but it definitely exceeded expectations and is worth a watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A lot of very good acting talent has been wasted in this film. Certainly, a lot of good talent is present, but the lead characters are given very little to do or say. The director has an appreciation for the female physique, but he doesn't seem to know women very well, or he's not demonstrating that knowledge very well. I'm sure any woman watching the film, if there are any, would have to be saying, 'who would do that?' I have no explanation. As expected, the men in the film are all exploitative, or happy to be exploited. None of them seem to inhabit much intelligence. Even worse, the women don't fare much better. It's not a 'porn movie', but as an episodic comedy, the situations are so far-fetched that I stared at the screen and eventually gave up. Sorry. I like Carla Gugino and Connie Britton, but both actresses have done much better in other projects. Give this a pass. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member 10 women got themselves in a variety of sticky situations. The stories were badly connected and the blue comedy didn't work as well as Gutierrez might have expected. The ensemble was great, featuring a talented cast of good looking people, but at times acting as distraction to the bland storytelling and thin material. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member The often thin material spits out a couple of humorous incidents. 17.8.14 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A waste of beauty, talent, and time. Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness Gutierrez's story is structurally clichd ... but, worse still, his characters are uniformly unbelievable and two-dimensional.
