Stu B A run-of-the-mill prison potboiler with all the usual cliches: the sadistic warden, the empathetic jailhouse doctor, the pregnant inmate, the nervous newbie who doesn't look like she'll survive her first twenty-four hours, let alone the next ten years...and that's just for starters. The always interesting Ida Lupino plays the warden; Howard Duff portrays the doc. Sadly, every one of the other characters is a cardboard cut-out at best--which, I suppose, is to be expected of a B-movie docu-drama done on the cheap, with no imagination at all. At under ninety minutes, though, at least it's short. Worth watching for Lupino, but not much else.
