Convinced that mutants pose a threat to humanity, Dr. Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) develops the Sentinels, enormous robotic weapons that can detect a mutant gene and zero in on that person. In the 21st century, the Sentinels have evolved into highly efficient killing machines. You can feel the gripping emotional undercurrent, admire the level of difficulty in the story that’s told or just rewatch at the Quicksilver “Time in a Bottle” sequence to really appreciate how great this movie is.

It's legitimately hilarious to me that 20th Century Fox knew they messed up when they killed off or otherwise invalidated most of the central characters in X-Men: The Last Stand and spent the next eight years retconning it.

I'd say this is the Avengers: Endgame of the X-Men universe. This movie was incredible, and it is probably my favorite X-Men movie. The story was compelling, the visuals were great, and seeing all of the X-Men characters unite in one multi-timeline movie was spectacular. I'd definitely recommend if for superhero fans!
