... A rom-com that’s very charming but weird but mostly charming. Go to Full Review

It all adds up to a watchable but forgettable film, which begs the question of whether more local flavor might have improved this global product. Go to Full Review

You Do You has a star in Ahsen Eroglu, but Cemal Alpan’s film is a Hollywood-washed and sanitized experience from the beginning to its all too familiar end. Go to Full Review

Shubhangi A 05/15/2024 RomCom films can be a delightful pick-me-up for someone feeling down. "You Do You" strikes a balance between ambition, love, and revenge, reminiscent of Sarah J. Maas novels. While it's a bit fantastical and impractical, it offers a charming escape and an enjoyable watch. The fashion styling in the movie adds to its allure, as does the creative app concept, which takes entrepreneurship to new heights, if only temporarily. I thought it was good, but I like light comedy/romance/dramas from Turkey/Korea/Japan/etc. 💚 See more Leonard N 06/18/2023 The movie was not boring. The storied movie was well paced with enough devices eg.dissolves, fades, etc. The supporting cast was excellent, especially the mother. The female lead was believable and likable. The creative fashions reminded me of "Emily in Paris" See more Edoardo C @HAROLDO 06/11/2023 while I am definitely in favor of wider horizons,in general, particularly regarding tv products and movies, the new Netflix tendency to buy everything, just because is cheaper, doesn't necessarily suits my expectations as a viewer. if you get a quick look at the today panorama of Netflix choices, you'll found that the absolute majority of tv products and movies are coming from 'abroad'. many of those aren't even dubbed in english. this is great opportunity for who made independent films and tv series as one of their first works, entering in the industry. that's absolutely fine with me. but it is not, if those choices are made at all cost, sacrificing quality. this is the actual problem with Netflix. they cut the great ideas (The OA), in favor of cheaper, basic productions. they are just counting. counting new subscribers. counting the profit margins. they've apply themselves a lot less, while counting the executives prizes and benefits, whichever are rising and more than doubled, every year. they tried to raise that stakes so much, that even the stockholders has rejected it. but back to this movie. a good actress is not enough to make an even decent movie. there's some nice production coming from Turkey, like, just to give you an example, The Protector. and many others. but not this poor written and executed movie. in this sea of imperfections, the performance of Ahsen Eroglu, definitely shines above all.
