Audience Member Me and the wife watched this one and we loved it. Yes we will recommend it to James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas January 25, 2023. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review corkball The best thing about this film is Rob Schneider and Tia Carrere. They are only supporting characters, but they are actually fun to watch. The rest of the film is a weird mix of formulaic rom-com and what? A silly mob comedy? The plot is beyond ridiculous. Most of the action is super cheesy. The leads are bland and uninteresting. But once they got to the island, there were a couple of laugh out loud moments. The rest if the film is a miss. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Gee, we haven't seen this movie a dozen times or more already. A guy who marries a woman for citizenship only (reason doesn't matter), they don't nor do they care for each othwr but by the end they fall in love, then crisis, problem, crisis, resolution, happy ending. Maybe you're hoping for some good comical moments or jokes, but even those are scarces, like an original script. If you're doing something else and need something on in the background that doesn't require your full attention, then this is the movie for you Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Cheesy but amazing! Lots of heart and part that make you laugh. This is a hit in my books. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review kevin w They don't know each other but they're forced to pretend as lf they're married, so what do you think happens by the last reel? Yeah, it's that kind of a predictable romcom. Okay, then maybe the characterizations save it? Uh-uh. Put it this way: Rob Schneider steals the whole film. Need I say more? And he plays a fourth string character. But as good as Schneider is(or as he can be in controlled doses) it's the lead male, Annable, who truly fails this film. All the personality of a old bar of soap. They put the whole film on him, as if he were a Grant or a Stewart ... but he's not. He's not even close. Blah. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It was OK nothing remotely special. Entertaining but immediately forgettable. Could have been a lot better & funnier. Mark Jenkins Washington Post Its lunacy is well staged and fast-paced. Too bad the movie's premise is so lame that the nimbler moments can't redeem it. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 21, 2012 Full Review Mark Olsen Los Angeles Times The plotting just ends up feeling like a lot of business, ideas meant to keep the characters busy and in motion rather than actually reflecting anything like human behavior. Rated: 2/5 Sep 20, 2012 Full Review Tom Keogh Seattle Times Surely, some Hollywood studio in the 1950s made a prototype of the sprightly if erratic comedy "You May Not Kiss the Bride." Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 20, 2012 Full Review Brent Simon Shockya.com A movie that never figures out a way to stitch together all of its incongruous elements. Rated: C- Nov 1, 2012 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The low-brow script leads the characters through one far-fetched scenario after another with few laughs along the way. But at least the scenery is nice. Sep 21, 2012 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com A noisy, unlikable distraction that seems more invested in photographing lush Hawaiian locations than solidifying a sense of humor that might coexist peacefully with the violence.
