Any yet, there's just something unbearably sanctimonious about this film; a sense of self-righteousness about its racial attitudes that is tone-deaf at best and genuinely, alarmingly hypocritical, at worst.

Lauren London is delightful and funny. Jonah is clever and funny as usual. Eddie is funny as always. I love to see him in roles we are not used to. love the proof matter and the discussion it provokes. appreciated seeing these perspectives on the big screen discussed in a healthy way.

Absolutely loved this movie, was scrolling through netflix, looking for something to watch that was decent enough to watch without much sexual content, harsh, words, violence with a little bit of comedy and romance. I watched it twice in a row, so cute and relatable for me who was in similar situations. I think they did a great job.

Some people are going to love this movie, and some just won’t, and honestly, a lot of that might come down to the color of their skin and what they’re ready to face. But as a Black woman, I loved it. This film sparks the kind of conversations that need to be had, real, raw, and overdue. It’s a step in the right direction, for sure. That said, I have to be real, Nia Long deserved way more lines. Period. She’s a star in her own right, and limiting her made certain parts of the film feel less authentic. Adding a few Black producers behind the scenes would’ve easily pushed this movie into my top 10. Still, I give credit where it’s due, it made me think, feel, and talk. And that’s what good storytelling should do. Stop hating - lol . Great movie.
