      Youth in Revolt

      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

It may not entirely do its source material justice, but Miguel Arteta's Youth in Revolt is a fun, funny comic romp that lets Michael Cera stretch a little and introduces filmgoers to a major find in Portia Doubleday.

Kyle M Michael Cera mustered the source material's signature humor through his own amidst utter, self-contradicting ridicule that's fantastically unrealistic with unlikable characters. (B-) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Honest D I'm surprised at the low score on here. This movie is great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Gareth v A movie that comes across as a vechile for Cera to cut loose and show us he's more than a timid nerd. One he does for the most part. It's just a shame that the script is so uneven. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/20/23 Full Review prawnda s perhaps the market was oversaturated with michael cera at the time this came out, which may be why it's so poorly reviewed. frankly, i like it better than scott pilgrim by far. this is probably one of cera's best performances, and the rest of the cast doesn't disappoint either. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/03/23 Full Review Michal M A little nonsensical alteration of the source material, e.g. why keeping Paul and omitting Fuzzy, also D____e was missing while Lefty was there for couple of lines while all his part of the story was removed. Ferguson was cool and authentic. Diverse range of actors for believable to school level, e.g. portraying Trent as terminator or what was that supposed to mean. In this case book is strongly recommended over the movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Matheus R o filme não faz o mínimo sentido em nenhum momento Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/04/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
