Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Time for [Subhash] Ghai to put a pause to his empty directorial flourishes. And stick to producing films. Apr 30, 2019 Full Review Namrata Joshi Outlook The plot is a throwback to old ghar-grihasti films and comes with the message that the family must always remain united. What makes it worse is that the film unfolds at a snail's pace. Rated: 1/4 Jan 31, 2019 Full Review Anil Sinanan Time Out This would be forgivable if the shallow emotions worked but it's hard to care about these callous characters. Worst of all is its inability to address 'genius disorder' in any meaningful way. Rated: 1/5 Oct 24, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Ahmed M Yuvvraaj, does an incredible job with it's storytelling and the performances of most of the actors were amazing as well, yet, it feels as if it wasn't satisfying and an easily forgettable movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/27/16 Full Review Audience Member A Superb musical film with decent plot but good acting and outstanding ar rahman music Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Yuvvraaj is a film that gives you a head ache for about 3 hours straight. Such an awful and boring film is hard to find. The director disappointed us badly, I mean Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and others could have been a blockbuster, but the story of this film was so bad it blew its chance. The music and songs from this film may entertain you, but after watching the complete film, you will be regretting. Definitely not recommended! Only watch if you're bored and interested in musical films for a time-pass! Verdict = Flop Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Subhash Ghai proved the 'worst', he hurried always, he completes a movie within 2-3 months and finally reinstated our despair through duds like Yaadien, Kisna, and Black & White. 'Ghai is known as the showman of bollywood, for making epic movies that portray grandeu and a very rich theme like Hero, Meri Jung, Saudagar, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Taal, but recently he proved his barmy yield like in B & W, and in Yuvvraaj. Yuvvraaj is not a bad but a boring and a potential contender with Drona and Love Story 2050 disappointing films of 2008. The script is stale, the screenplay unreal, Ancestral disputes of 3 brothers Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan & Zayed Khan aren't good one another, Anil is mentally crazy like a child nurturing his music love. Salman is cursing his billionaire father for leaving him to the poverty. The age old formula rich girl, poor guy is thrown into picture with the girl's (Katrina) father (Boman Irani) objecting to their marriage. Zayed Khan is living a prosperous life, banking on his fathers money. Grand sets, visual impact and cinematography are very good so what Yuvvraaj banks on heavily, brilliant locations in Prague, and Austria captured wonderfully. A.R.Rahman is always exceptional but only one track, A. R. Rahman seldom goes totally wrong however it failed to create the mood for the film like 'Taal' even all tracks were impressive with powerful use of instruments and selection of best voices. Film Yuvvraaj disappoints primarily in the scripting, screenplay and direction. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice film nice story awesome music Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member good music...1 n half stars for Anil Kapoor..
