Audience Member The English title for this movie is "Snow on the Blades" it is only listed on Rotten Tomatoes by this name which according to: http://asianwiki.com/Snow_On_The_Blades translates to "Revenge of the Pomegranate Tree Hill" so you can see why the english title has been changed. The movie paints a compelling picture of reconstruction Japan and the difficulty of the Samurai class in finding a place in a new society. It is quite slow and has few action scenes so don't be expecting a typical samurai movie. The strength of this movie is in how it portrays the dilemma of a class of people when their values and entire way of life is turned on its head. Subtle and moving this movie is worth the watch.
