Audience Member The movie reflects war from 3 different perspectives. A Chinese farmer, a Russian medic and a Japanese school girl. Regular people are always in the receiving end of the suffering of war. They are easily turned into killing machines even against their own peiple. Putting differences aside, people could sympathize, unite, and survive together. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Outstanding. Only serious critique are the scenes of the Japanese suicides near the end of the film. They are a serious blemish on an otherwise immaculate film. Not suggesting that such acts not occur however, there is some serious overacting there. I imagine that it only stands out because it is in such stark contrast to an otherwise faultless production Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of the best Chinese anti war movies. It depicts the human nature of the three characters very well through there journey across the forest. It also has beautiful scenery and background music. Even though the battle scene is embarrassing, it is a very emotional movie overall. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member boring, repetitive, terrible special fx that will make you lol and nothing in this movie makes any sense Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Foreign, Chinese. It's alright. About a female Russian soldier, a Chinese farmer and a Japanese school girl traveling together, trying to stay alive, in the last days of WWII. It's alright; nothing special. This recommendation is a: If you want to see it or not, either/or. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Foreign, Chinese. It's alright.
