Verne Gay Newsday Visually spectacular and a good cast — Wong in particular. Rated: 3/4 Apr 8, 2024 Full Review Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) Ambitious, towering and crammed with big ideas about intellectual curiosity, exploration and our place in the universe while still managing to tell intimate stories about human relationships. Apr 1, 2024 Full Review Shirley Li The Atlantic I get a kick out of realizing which portions of the trilogy the show’s creators have chopped up and rearranged, delighted to be shown parallels among characters... and still find Benioff and Weiss to be great at writing memorable, economical dialogue. Mar 25, 2024 Full Review Rose Ho The Asian Cut While '3 Body Problem' has big ambitions akin to its in-universe sophons, a.k.a. multidimensional supercomputers, the execution is hampered by time (and space). Rated: 3/5 Jul 31, 2025 Full Review Palmer Haasch Business Insider "3 Body Problem," which oscillates from murder mystery to extraterrestrial sensibilities that should tickle any Carl Sagan fan's interest, sometimes feels too big for itself. Conversely, that large scope is also what makes it so compelling. Nov 15, 2024 Full Review Nelson Acosta Koimoi 3 Body Problem is an adaptation with all the ingredients for success, but it doesn’t match the original material’s efforts doesn’t to create something unique and compelling. Zachary P Genuinely an amazing show. I'm not sure why people say it's boring, for a show in the "slow burn" category it's pacing had a pretty quick stride to it. I found the acting, cast, writing, CG, locations and everything was top notch. The story is captivating and I will be gnawing on the bit I til season 2 comes out. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/29/25 Full Review Dominic B I read the trilogy ages ago and was totally awed and blown away by its scope and inventiveness. It takes a lot of guts to to turn this into a TV series, and they managed very successfully. The actors are excellent (more than one from Game of Thrones), and the script writers and directors handled the complexity of the story well. I can't remember how close to the books they stay (I read somewhere that the Chinese TV version is closer), but I did recall some of the key concepts and names (revolution in China, wallfacer, rehydration, etc.) while watching. Pity we have to wait so long for season 2. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review 누텔라 A- i really like this series. sad that some really good characters i love have to die but i did enjoy watching this. something that makes you think. i however feel like some scenes were rushed though. overall im glad i watched it and cant wait for the second season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/25 Full Review alexandre n I didn't like very much "l'équateur d'Einstein"=爱因斯坦赤道 which it seems has not been translated in English. Nevertheless, I thought his writing could make a pretty good TV show with what the industry let us been used to. It's good. I'll have to try the book. I'm at the beginning of s01e06, and I can't grasp how it scandalized Americans, it's pretty hard on China. But he's Chinese, why would he be keen to not be pleased with his country (to be heard of) ? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/15/25 Full Review Stephen C 8 successful episodes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/24/25 Full Review Todd C I never read the books, but this first series had me almost from the start. I got wrapped up in the human struggles against the future aspect of the telling of this tale. Where I got lost a bit is when these super smart scientists are faced with quantum entangled supercomputers, are told exactly what they are and how they work, and don't bother to set about finding a way to disentangle them, at least not in this season. It boggles the mind. If you are going to lean that hard into quantum physics, it's just not that hard to disentangle, you just have to measure. So that's where I got a little lost. But if you don't think that hard about some of these things, this is a great series. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/30/25 Full Review Read all reviews
