Verne Gay Newsday Visually spectacular and a good cast — Wong in particular. Rated: 3/4 Apr 8, 2024 Full Review Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) Ambitious, towering and crammed with big ideas about intellectual curiosity, exploration and our place in the universe while still managing to tell intimate stories about human relationships. Apr 1, 2024 Full Review Shirley Li The Atlantic I get a kick out of realizing which portions of the trilogy the show’s creators have chopped up and rearranged, delighted to be shown parallels among characters... and still find Benioff and Weiss to be great at writing memorable, economical dialogue. Mar 25, 2024 Full Review Palmer Haasch Business Insider "3 Body Problem," which oscillates from murder mystery to extraterrestrial sensibilities that should tickle any Carl Sagan fan's interest, sometimes feels too big for itself. Conversely, that large scope is also what makes it so compelling. Nov 15, 2024 Full Review Nelson Acosta Koimoi 3 Body Problem is an adaptation with all the ingredients for success, but it doesn’t match the original material’s efforts doesn’t to create something unique and compelling. Rated: 3/5 Jul 4, 2024 Full Review Joonatan Itkonen Toisto.net This is a big, brilliant, and beautiful sci-fi epic that was worth the wait. Rated: 5/5 Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

THE NASHVILLE I 3 Body is a wildly creative, and addictive story but it has a big problem setting up it’s first act. The show has a strange but exciting trifecta and it’s like the show runners didn’t understand how to utilize it, so the first episode comes off as unsettling and boring. Rest assured though if you hang in there, the other 90% of the show is brilliant and decently cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review jennifer j really good! they even did some stuff I liked better from the first book Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/09/25 Full Review Dicky r As a person who has never read the books and came into it blind, I thought it was genuinely slow and boring. Had a cool concept but thought it was poorly executed. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/03/25 Full Review jeremy j really great. Some changes from the books but overall takes a book with some very dry exposition and characters and really makes it work. Every episode was really great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/30/25 Full Review Audience Member I expected this series to be thrilling and thought-provoking. Instead, I was left deeply disappointed. I kept watching until the scene where, after the destruction of the ship and the loss of lives, Augustina “Oggie” Salazar reacts with justified anger. But then came the moment that ruined it all — the show begins to glorify and promote russian "culture". The bitter irony is that I was watching this episode while hiding in a basement during a russian missile attack. This hypocrisy was too much to tolerate.I turned it off immediately. It’s heartbreaking that a series like this chooses to elevate a culture whose current regime tortures and kills — and whose citizens grow up reading this “masterpiece” in school, only to later invade independent countries and murder children. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/25 Full Review Kolby G Unoriginal, Poorly Acted, and Doomed from the Start The 3 Body Problem on Netflix is just another recycled sci-fi mess. We've seen this kind of story before—nothing here feels fresh or groundbreaking. The casting is terrible, with bland performances that drag down even the rare interesting moments. Worst of all, it’s brought to you by the same producers who ruined Game of Thrones. True to form, they fumble the tone, butcher the source material, and turn a complex, thought-provoking story into a shallow, uninspired slog. A waste of time and potential.
