Kevin G @RT40870183 Mar 5 Difficult to describe how I feel about it. Did I watch it? Yes. Did I get pulled in during the middle a bit? Sure. **Spoilers** I assumed it would be a trope-filled mess when the protagonist is essentially passed out for weeks and wakes to an empty world. Hope nobody saw 28 days later. It did avoid most of that and focused more on the interpersonal, but then we have the "new people" come in, who shocker, turn out to be not good people. Then the whole "point" turns into a message against the modern world. Oh, the healing tree saved almost everybody? "I can't teach you about that world anymore". "They loved stats and numbers". Blah blah blah. And what was the bus dude's deep, dark secret? I barely got through the last episode waiting for that. It felt like you got stuck at a party talking to somebody with deep new age beliefs who usually keeps them to themselves, but then they just kept drinking... It's refreshing to see something like this, where the real enemy is ourselves and our ego, which makes us believe we own nature when we are merely guests on this beautiful planet. Added to this are human characters who bring warmth to the story. Like all science fiction, it has its fantastical elements. But thankfully, that's the least prominent.
