Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

Nina Metz Chicago Tribune Fallout reveals itself to be a show with some potent things to say about where we’re headed if we allow corporate interests to dictate the future. Rated: 3/4 Apr 24, 2024 Full Review Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Goofy when it’s bloody, glinting when it’s conspiratorial, and always looking for another way to surprise you, Fallout has a counterintuitive rhythm: there’s too much going on, but it feels right. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 18, 2024 Full Review Gene Park Washington Post The best part about the world of the Fallout games, and now this show, is that it’s among the most relatable science fiction wastelands. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Tatat Bunnag Bangkok Post Walton Goggins shines as a ghoul embodying the franchise's morally complex ethos, while the show's striking visuals and sharp writing make it a standout among video game adaptations. Dec 23, 2024 Full Review Gavin Spoors Mediaversity Reviews Fallout’s heart is in the right place, but more work needs to be done for it to become the inclusive show it thinks it is. Rated: B Aug 13, 2024 Full Review Ezequiel Boetti Otroscines.com No one should expect too much emotional or psychological depth in Lucy or her occasional allies, since the series focuses more on suspense, action, visual display and how to move forward in the face of endless adversities. Sorana C Arrival of the airship was epic, together with the music, and the way they code the data and translate information, awesome! Fallout is awesome. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/11/25 Full Review McCourt O Satire and sincerity, RPG and drama. Latently and suspiciously realistic, coincides the real world Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/10/25 Full Review Martens M Outstanding first season. Exactly what Game Adaptation is supposed to be. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/10/25 Full Review Tachi F Lots good and some great stuff, combined as a whole it's very good. To avoid using word "must", I'll say should watch, really should, really really should... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/25 Full Review commander b Absolute delight, very good show, abundance of fun, clever in depth. Looking to see how they proceed with it, hopefully will continue on good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/08/25 Full Review Kirinique S I might not be the target audience for this show, but there was so much hype I had to give it a try. The opening scene of the first episode was brilliant but deeply misleading. It portrays a very realistic scene that is interrupted by an insanely scary experience that feels very relatable. I think that in the modern world of nuclear weapons and political tensions, a lot of us have this fear in the back of our mind, and to see it interrupt a regular day in the life like that was harrowing. However, it is followed by episodes that feel completely cartoon-ish and that constantly break the rules they themselves established for this universe and common sense. Spoilers! Somehow, in a world with few humans left, a character who spent her whole life underground not knowing anything about the world as it is or was, casually shrugs off everyone she has ever known being viciously murdered, wanders off into the wild with no fear, isn’t particularly surprised or afraid when she encounters other humans and giant bugs, magically finds the exact place she is looking for over what should be hundreds or thousands of miles, even cuts off a human head without much thought… the show just becomes too ridiculous to find any empathy or understanding. If it is a requisite to be a fan of the game before watching then I don’t think it has done anything impressive if it can’t standalone as a show.
