Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

Nina Metz Chicago Tribune Fallout reveals itself to be a show with some potent things to say about where we’re headed if we allow corporate interests to dictate the future. Rated: 3/4 Apr 24, 2024 Full Review Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Goofy when it’s bloody, glinting when it’s conspiratorial, and always looking for another way to surprise you, Fallout has a counterintuitive rhythm: there’s too much going on, but it feels right. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 18, 2024 Full Review Gene Park Washington Post The best part about the world of the Fallout games, and now this show, is that it’s among the most relatable science fiction wastelands. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Tatat Bunnag Bangkok Post Walton Goggins shines as a ghoul embodying the franchise's morally complex ethos, while the show's striking visuals and sharp writing make it a standout among video game adaptations. Dec 23, 2024 Full Review Gavin Spoors Mediaversity Reviews Fallout’s heart is in the right place, but more work needs to be done for it to become the inclusive show it thinks it is. Rated: B Aug 13, 2024 Full Review Ezequiel Boetti Otroscines.com No one should expect too much emotional or psychological depth in Lucy or her occasional allies, since the series focuses more on suspense, action, visual display and how to move forward in the face of endless adversities. AgnesR i Dynamic and fun, intricate and intriguing, and true to the games. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review Belupo S Does almost everything right. Just fewer than few smaller complaints. Other than that, Fallout show is fantastic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review Donnie D Couldn’t make it thru first episode. Boring Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review Ericksand E Takes the Game Adaptation Throne. Nice balance between tv show and video game. Excellent stuff. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/25 Full Review Fredrik Stad Establishes the world. Introduces Fallout to TV format. From hereon, the sky is the limit.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/25 Full Review m e Perfectly captures the tongue-in-cheek nature of the games and the kinds of stories it peddles without becoming juvenile or shallow. Has a well-rounded cast of characters with interesting backstories, although the fact that they've brought *so* many characters from the past to the present for the sake of the storyline strikes me as a missed opportunity. All the acting is very well done, the scenery and effects wonderful. Clearly done by people who have a love of the games and an understanding of the classic in-jokes, without ever becoming hard to parse for those not in the know. Though ghouls have often been drug addicts, it's an interesting introduction to the Fallout lore that ghouls can only remain non-feral through some sort of drug, and I am not sure entirely how it benefits the story except for providing a convenient few minor plot beats. Excited to see where the story goes as they head to New Vegas for season two; as it is arguably the most beloved installment in the franchise and many feel protective over it, I'm sure the pressure is on for the show to deliver a compelling portrayal of the aftermath of the events of the Fallout New Vegas game as well as its setting.
