Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) With Lee Pace and Jared Harris as adversaries, the show mostly manages to tie together personal stakes and planet-hopping history in a way that sci-fi aficionados will enjoy. Jul 14, 2023 Full Review James Jackson The Times (UK) It’s impressively imaginative. Jul 14, 2023 Full Review Helen O'Hara Empire Magazine It’s not always easy – except on the eyes, thanks to that extraordinary design – but this is sci-fi that’s worth putting the time in for. Rated: 4/5 Jul 14, 2023 Full Review Terence Johnson Le Noir Auteur Long considered a novel that was unfilmable, show runner David S. Goyer has done an incredible job of leading this production to the screen. Sep 15, 2023 Full Review Jorge Loser Espinof Except perhaps Battlestar Galactica, rarely have we seen such a complex and well-built world to tell us something so dense and full of ramifications. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 4.5/5 Sep 1, 2023 Full Review William Schwartz Book & Film Globe Foundation thrives by keeping its worldbuilding constantly on the edge of creeping doom, a grim sentiment that certainly feels historical, even if it’s not necessarily psychohistorical. Chris M There are some amazing actors giving great performances. That's the good news. The bad is that it is an insipid and pointless rewriting of an amazing story. I understand that this was considered by many to be a difficult story to translate onto film, and clearly the shows answer to this was to simply ignore the story completely, invent new characters and a completely different story, and ignore every theme and nuance that made the novels so beloved and revered. Demerzel is supposed to be Daneel Olivaw, the oldest robot in existence, guiding humans towards a grander purpose. He is the one who planted the idea of psychohistory into Seldon's mind, and maneuvered all of the pieces necessary for him to complete his work and establish the foundation. He doesn't clone Cleon. Clean and Gaal are supposed to be throwaway characters, they don't do much of anything, especially the latter, who barely exists as more than a way of introducing Seldon into the story and is not mentioned again. The characters that were made female are constantly wining and more concerned with their love life's than with moving the plot forward, and the characters that were female don't exist at all. The creators didn't understand how Asimov used religion as a tool for the foundation to thrive in it's infancy, the foundation never saw it as anything except a way to control the weak, and quickly moved past that when they were able to reach the next phase in their development. This was made by people who wanted something shiny to entertain people with, which on it's own is fine, but next time they should come up with an original idea, and not beat a masterpiece to death with their stupidity and ignorance. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/04/25 Full Review Craig B Foundation is a very impressive SciFi series. Well-written with plenty of intrigue and action sequences, and great character development and casting. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/31/25 Full Review K P Season 2 was phenomenal in a fantastic sci-fi show! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/23/25 Full Review Mellie R Didn’t think season 2 could surpass season 1, but here we are!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/20/25 Full Review Marc P Definitely one of the best TV series. This season is even better than the 1st. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review So N It's still building its own version of the Foundation Galaxy, and it's starting to take good shape, with fresh sub plots and a main thread that gels around Gaal Dornick and Hari Seldon.
