Watered down crap written with the Netflix blueprint in mind. 'I'm sorry' simulator and take a shot each time you hear 'it wasn't your fault' every episode. The suspense from the first two seasons is gone, you see the monsters probably in only 3 episodes in total. Drama plus back and forth useless dialogue that has nothing to do with the plot makes this worse than a gray's anatomy episode

What just happened this season was crazy. I just hope that the writers don't run out of ideas like lost

assam .
The deeper we dive into the story, the more amazing it gets. I actually think that this season had me the most terrified so far, and I'm afraid to see what they'll bring up next. Tons of crazy plot twists, so many more hints, and finally a lot of stuff got revealed (although it doesn't make sense entirely yet). Probably suffered the most in this one too, but I'm so attached to the various characters and absolutely love how realistically they've been portrayed. No one can remain sane in such a place, that's for sure.
Watching this and following them is a lot of fun and brings a lot of emotions with it. Loads of unexpected things that just blow your mind - and the cliffhanger at the end was... perhaps a little too brutal for soft hearted people like me.
I am so looking forward to the next season that I just can't wait!

En la misma linea que las temporadas anteriores, From sigue siendo entretenida pero no mucho mas.

From continues to be one of the most unsettling and enigmatic series of its genre, blending existential dread with nightmarish horror. Season 3 delves deep into the origins of the town's darkness, revealing horrifying truths about the night creatures and the price of survival.
Main Theme:
Every answer spawns a new question. Every question bleeds.
Unlike typical horror shows, From succeeds in making the viewer feel like a prisoner inside the mystery itself — trapped, suffocated, desperate for understanding. It blends psychological horror with philosophical mystery in a way that keeps you constantly questioning: What is happening?
Writing and Dialogue:
Season 3 maintains its slow-burn approach, layering questions without clear answers until the final episodes. The writing shines in the tension-filled interactions between Boyd and Donna but falters with characters like Jim and Randall, whose constant complaints feel repetitive.
The revelation about the monsters — once human beings who chose immortality through horrifying sacrifices — injects a new philosophical depth into the story. It's no longer just about survival but a reflection on humanity's capacity for selfishness and horror.
Season 3's structure resembles an inverted pyramid: beginning with relative calm, tension escalates until it explodes with shocking reveals. While thrilling, this structure causes narrative fatigue; spreading revelations more evenly might have created a smoother rhythm.
Key Plot Highlights:
Boyd's journey remains tragically heroic, battling internal collapse as much as external threats.
Fatima's discovery of carrying a "monster child" marks one of the season's most chilling psychological turns.
Tabitha's return, layered with surreal new realities, suggests the nightmare may be deeper than previously imagined.
The mysterious man in the yellow coat at the end shatters any sense of reality, questioning whether they are trapped in a dream, an experiment, or an eternal nightmare.
Direction, Cinematography, and Lighting:
Direction remains a strength, utilizing tight frames, slow pacing, and shadow-play to create a suffocating atmosphere. Visual storytelling often outweighs dialogue, especially in scenes like:
Boyd in the tunnel (Ep 4): A single long take tracks his descent, heightening tension with minimal light, casting shifting shadows that mirror his fracturing mind.
Fatima’s pregnancy reveal (Ep 6): Strategic lighting floods the room symbolically before plunging into darkness.
The mysterious woman (Ep 7): Only seen through reflections or shadows, embodying subconscious fear more than physical reality.
The use of cold color palettes and dim lighting expertly maintains the oppressive, nightmarish tone.
Editing:
Editing is smooth in the later episodes, blending hallucinations and reality seamlessly. However, the early episodes could have benefited from tighter pacing to maintain momentum.
Music and Sound Design:
The music complements the horror without resorting to cheap jump-scares, using eerie strings and disturbing ambient sounds to heighten unease.
Set Design:
Meticulously crafted sets reflect decay and hidden terrors — every peeling wall and darkened corner whispering of buried secrets.
Acting:
Harold Perrineau (Boyd) anchors the show with a gripping, emotionally layered performance.
Donna remains impactful despite less screen time.
Ellis's performance remains uneven, while newer characters like Acosta feel underdeveloped and occasionally forced.
Final Verdict:
From Season 3 proves it's more than just horror — it's a mirror held up to the broken soul. Though it offers some long-awaited answers, the darkness still reigns... and the worst may be yet to come.
