Discovery's series "Kodiak" features three families: the Mays, the Hollands and the Cusacks. Each fall, these clans run Bob May's hunting and fishing lodge situated on Kodiak Island -- known to locals as The Rock -- which is also the habitat of as many as 3,500 of the largest land carnivore, the Kodiak bear. In each episode, expedition guides lead hunters into the deep forest for carefully regulated bear hunting. The series follows the hunts and the details of running the lodge on the remote island.
