This is my first time watching something Star Wars related since the Obi Wan show (the last two films rubbed me the wrong way lol). Anyways, I thought this was a solid show. It felt very grounded for a Star Wars project. The pacing was steady, and I enjoyed the plot. The twist with Anakin appearing was a fun addition, and it worked in the story, and not just as fan service. Honestly, for a show called Ahsoka, I feel like it was not fully on the Ahsoka character. She definitely played a major role, but its like she played for 51% of the story. And if I'm honest again, she wasn't the most entertaining character. I understand that she is just super grounded, but she never did anything that wowed me. Overall, still had fun. Yes there are some things that felt off about this show but as a whole I really enjoyed the show. I loved the characters and all the fight sequences especially the clone wars flashbacks. Rosario Dawson is amazing, and so is Ray Stevenson. The people they cast to play the characters from Rebels all did a great job, but the writing just let them all down. It was like watching them all retread their character arcs from Rebels. Sabine and Ahsoka have to learn to work together as pupil and master, Sabine has to stop being to impulsive and grow up, as if she was a teenager again and as if she didn’t go through all of this already in Rebels. It was super frustrating to watch. They really miscast Tarkin. He’s supposed to have a cold menace and all he pulled off was cold. Some of the lightsaber fights were fun, especially between Dawson and Stevenson, but a lot of the others were just meh, fighting off crowds that never felt like a threat.
