Episode 5 is the best hour of your life. Seeing Snips and Sky Guy, together in the Clone Wars, in live action?! Wow. Unfortunately, it seems like editorial interference tried to make this a show for everyone and instead left people wanting for more. The show does not commit to being for hardcore fans already familiar with the titular character or the Rebels gang, nor does it make it easy for those who didn’t watch the cartoons to jump right in. Personally, Ahsoka is one of my Tier 1 Star Wars characters and I think they could have skipped some of the handholding, but they emphasized mass appeal. Compounded with little resolution by the end of the first season - but hey, that’s how TV is made these days, and I understand why some people are down on this show so far. I suspect we’ll look back at Season 1 as really 1A to the next season’s 1b that tell a complete story together. With a satisfying ending yet to come, all we have are several great moments with beloved characters.

Castings are C tier with acting not much better. Plot is senseless at times and sort of comes together at the end. Focus is off and writing is not to a level that should be expected. Whilst visuals are at times stunning, everything else lorewise make little to no sense. Too much girlpower.

I thought this was really fun! So many great elements; the Purrgils, the characters from Rebels, the Loth-Cats, so cleverly used and exciting to see in live action. I don't understand the low score from the audience reviews. I am seeing a lot of theories that a female-driven show was off-putting to fans. I hope that's not true. If so, that would be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.
