Like many, the first thought that pops into my head while getting to around Episode 3 is this --> Space Goonies. It's absolutely heavily inspired by that and it's probably the best use of Star Wars media that Disney has used to date. Yes that includes the sequels, Mandalorian, etc. Really this just nailed the feel of what SW should be, but Disney failed to hit so many times. So many times, in fact, that I think this series will ultimately not get enough traction over time due to past failures sadly. Seriously, when you tell people about the show people are exhausted by being let down by the property. Yeesh Disney you really dropped the ball on SW. That said, this is a home run. Jon Watts and Ford have cemented themselves as entertaining writers that know how to properly adjust their property to get a true adventure down on film/tv. Good job fellas

In spite of some uneven storytelling and sequences that could have been executed better, Skeleton Crew benefits from its simplistic nature and strong sense of wonderment that makes this a well handled, vivid and exciting Star Wars miniseries with a beating heart.
