Brooks Eisenbise Chicago Reader Whether Skeleton Crew will devolve into redundancy and needless exposition or be canceled before it reaches a satisfying conclusion... is anyone’s guess. But whether you’re a longtime fan or completely new to Star Wars, it’s worth sticking around to see. Dec 20, 2024 Full Review Melanie McFarland Salon.com By rights, this thing should be Gen Alpha’s joy and memory stain, but it’s a work that belongs to both everyone and nobody. Which is a shame. Dec 11, 2024 Full Review Zaki Hasan San Francisco Chronicle For anyone who says the House That Lucas Built is out of ideas and has been picked clean, “Skeleton Crew” proves there’s still meat left on those bones. Rated: 3/4 Dec 7, 2024 Full Review Jeffrey Harris 411mania It's nice to have a break from the greater saga, which makes Skeleton Crew a refreshing and unique viewing experience. Rated: 8/10 Dec 31, 2024 Full Review Alberto Carlos Espinof A series full of the charm of adventure series and movies that we devoured as children and adults. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Dec 19, 2024 Full Review Andrew Murray The Upcoming Skeleton Crew isn’t reinventing wheel for either sci-fi or family-friendly adventures. However, its pirate-based approach to the Star Wars universe is enough to spark some new life into the long-running franchise. Rated: 4/5 Dec 19, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Finally something palatable from Lucasfilms/Disney! This is a phenomenal show that plays into nostalgia (in a good way). The show doesn’t go over the top in reference to the events of the films and is great as a stand alone show. The acting of the kids is not annoying or lack luster and they give off true essence of kids vibes. If you like goonies or super 8 you will love the way the kids act. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review James c Very Fun show! Great for the whole family! Just what Star Wars should be. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Audience Member It’s really bad. The characters are boring. The storytelling is awful. It’s a bad star wars version of the Goonies. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Gavin L First of what kind of name is skeleton crew I don’t know 🤷 you just put skeleton and crew together and I don’t know what to say about it seriously I could do better than that name second of nobody asked for this show personally I think it’s a horrible storyline even I could do better than this Star Wars Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Siddhant K Show more targeted towards the kiddies and misses the ingredients found in the other Star Wars carve outs like Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and Andor (personal fav). The elephant head child character should be a give away! At best it is mildly engaging for the average star wars franchise enthusiast. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Brian G Star Wars TV series have been a bit of a mixed bag, with Mandalorian (1&2) and Andor being highlights, a bunch of mid-level content, and at least one dud. This series is amongst the best that have been released. Fun, light, and exciting, it wears its "ET/Goonies/Explorers set in in Star Wars" on its sleeve, with a heavy dose of Treasure Island to go along with it - and it all comes together perfectly. I'm not normally a huge fan of kid characters, but this series plays them right. There are a few design choices I question (ie; the suburbia planet) but the overall quality of the series makes these minor quibbles. There are two more episodes to come at the time of this writing, and I fully expect it to finish on the same high notes that the series has held throughout.
