The two main characters are quirky and interesting, but I was put off in the early episodes by how self-centred both of them are and how insensitive they are to other people in their lives. Having said that, as the show goes along and you realize that the two of them are really in love, it does make more sense that people outside their relationship would get short shrift. If you watch the whole season, especially the last episode, all of the above will make sense. Along the way, you'll have to put up with a bunch of stories that are mostly entertaining, but are sometimes off-putting and pointless. In the end, however, it will be worth it. I'm not sure if Apple will decide to produce another season or not, but if they don't this one is a good enough standalone series. If you have four hours to kill, you can binge-watch the whole season and I think you'll be entertained.
