L 08/20/2024 As an Iowan watching this was heartbreaking. I have seen basically all documentaries, articles and podcasts of their case. This one did the most justice & wasn’t tasteless like others I’ve seen. If these girls never get justice, that’s the biggest heartbreak ever. Well done Dylan, I hope you make more tru-crime as this was well put together and executed. Perhaps you can do the Perry High School shooting next as tips were given to fbi months before attack. See more The S 08/15/2024 This is a case where it could have just been an episode of Unsolved Mysteries. Horrible, unfortunate event…no doubt about that. The director has interviews that span a decade but the problem is that it doesn’t add anything to the story. And that’s mostly because the killer was never caught. Had that happened, the time span might have meant something but what the police knew in the first year is pretty much what they still know. And so the families are still in that limbo they began in after the bodies were found. So the story itself and all of its developments could have easily fit into a single episode. Not sure why HBO keeps pumping these 3-episode series out that are 90 minute stories stretched out into 4-hour presentations. See more Read all reviews
