You might not want to spend time at The Pitt as a patient, but as entertainment, it’s one hell of a gripping show -- grounded, intense, and emotionally powerful.

What The Pitt does really well is work under its self-imposed restraints. The world never feels small, the characters never less than fully fleshed out. Go to Full Review

An astonishing achievement, full of granular detail and stellar performances... The Pitt doesn’t operate as a regular medical drama; more like a war movie in scrubs. It’s well worth the wait. Go to Full Review

The watercooler talk was right. This was edge-of-your-seat, can't-miss appointment television. Go to Full Review

This stuff only works on you if you give it permission -- a bit like when you invite a vampire across your threshold. If you don’t, though, you’re immune. Go to Full Review

Janine C @JanPol 5d I didn't expect to get so invested in a hospital drama. The characters feel real and every episode keeps you hooked. See more Ma P @RT13798883 Jun 6 The show would be so much better without Noah Wyle! See more Hashique T. @Hashique Jun 5 The Pitt is one of the most engaging series I’ve seen in a long time. It teleports you into an ER and glues you there until the very end of the season. I watched it all in one stretch and was having dreams about it afterward. What sets it apart is the craft. The real-time, single-continuous-shot feeling keeps you inside the action rather than just watching it, and the homework on the medical side shows — the procedures and rhythm land with real authority. Some scenes are genuinely raw, almost too much to sit with, and that’s exactly what leaves a scar. It also avoids the unnecessary drama that bogged down shows like New Amsterdam, staying engaging through distinct, fully drawn characters instead. The protagonist’s vulnerability is felt clearly, and the plot only thickens as the chaos compounds. Can’t wait for the second season, and I won’t be missing it the moment it drops. See more Keith B. @Okbullard May 31 This was such a compelling series with great acting and storyline. Each of the main characters are very unique and extremely interesting. I couldn't wait to watch the next episode. It would be vastly improved if they removed some of the woke garbage though. Give it a look I'm sure you'll really enjoy it. See more John B. @RT42354657 May 25 The Pitt is the best medical drama I’ve watched since ER. It brings back that same intense, fast-paced emergency room atmosphere while still feeling modern and fresh. The real-time format keeps every episode moving with nonstop tension, and the cast does an incredible job making the chaos and emotional pressure feel authentic. Noah Wyle absolutely shines and it’s great seeing him back in a hospital drama role again, but the entire supporting cast is strong. What makes the show stand out is how raw and realistic it feels — the exhaustion, split-second decisions, trauma, teamwork, and emotional weight all come across in a believable way instead of feeling overly dramatized. Like ER in its prime, The Pitt balances medical emergencies, character development, dark humor, and emotional moments without losing momentum. Season 1 kept me invested from start to finish and easily ranks as one of the strongest medical series released in years.
