This series delivers a refreshing and unexpected take on Spider Man’s beginnings, introducing characters rarely explored on screen, such as Tombstone, Nico Minoru, and Scorpion. Each one adds texture and personality to this vibrant corner of the universe. The comic inspired animation style is striking and dynamic.. Combined with surprisingly mature storytelling, it gives emotional weight to Peter’s journey while keeping the fun and heart intact. See more 3D C. @3drick Jan 31 In 2000 Marvel Comics released ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN by Brian Michael Bendis. In 2025 Marvel Animation released YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN by Jeff Trammell. Both series have a lot in common as they shuffle things we know about the comics or movies. This animated series doesn’t simply rush through plot points we’ve seen a hundred times before, it is methodically playing them out differently, while still feeling quintessentially Spider-Man. It is like falling in love with a new comic run of a familiar character, and the wonderful art style evokes that perfectly. To many more chapters, a huge success.
