Lewis Martin
Lewis Martin was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Martin landed roles in various films, including "Operation Pacific" (1951) with John Wayne, "Three Guys Named Mike" (1951) and the Kirk Douglas drama "The Big Carnival" (1951). He also appeared in the dramatic period piece "Drums in the Deep South" (1951) with James Craig, the adventure "The Wild North" (1952) with Stewart Granger and the Peter Graves adaptation "Red Planet Mars" (1952). His film career continued throughout the fifties in productions like the sci-fi flick "The War of the Worlds" (1953) with Gene Barry, the Charlton Heston western "Arrowhead" (1953) and the comedy "The Caddy" (1953) with Dean Martin. He also appeared in "Prisoner of War" (1954). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Bob Hope biopic "The Seven Little Foys" (1955), the Danny Kaye comedy adventure "The Court Jester" (1956) and "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1956) with James Stewart. He also appeared in "Star in the Dust" (1956) with John Agar and the drama "These Wilder Years" (1956) with James Cagney. Martin was most recently credited in "The Beatles on E!" (E! Networks, 1995-96). Martin passed away in February 1969 at the age of 75.
