A producer and director working primarily in television, Aaron Lipstadt has contributed extensively to the supernatural drama series "Medium." Though the great majority of Lipstadt's credits have been on TV, he started his career directing two films--in 1982, he directed Klaus Kinski in the sci-fi movie "Android," and later co-wrote and directed the sci-fi action-drama "City Limits," the cast of which included James Earl Jones, Kim Cattrall, and Rae Dawn Chong. From there, Lipstadt directed multiple detective-oriented shows, everything from the '80s classic "Miami Vice" to "Crime Story" and "The Equalizer." After directing a handful of shows in the '90s, among them an episode of the cop series "Law & Order" , Lipstadt directed several episodes of the crime drama "the Division," a series about the struggles of five San Francisco female cops. In '05, Lipstadt took on his most influential production role, as a co-executive producer and multi-episode director of the NBC thriller "Medium," which stars Patricia Arquette as a suburban mom who's also a crime-solving psychic.
