Alexander Singer lent his keen eye as a director of many television series. Early on, Singer directed a variety of independent films, such as "A Cold Wind in August" (1961), the dramatic adaptation "Psyche '59" (1964) with Curt Jurgens and the drama "Love Has Many Faces" (1965) with Lana Turner. He also appeared in "Glass Houses" (1971) and "Captain Apache" (1971) with Lee Van Cleef. Singer's also directed the television series "The Magician" (NBC, 1973-74). To help launch his Hollywood career, Singer directed some television shows like "The Magician" (NBC, 1973-74). In the seventies, work on the television shows "The Rockford Files" (1974-1980), "Police Woman" (NBC, 1974-78) and "Joe Forrester" (NBC, 1975-76). He also appeared in "Rafferty" (CBS, 1977-78). followed During the latter half of his career, Singer directed "The Magician" (NBC, 1973-74). Most recently, Singer appeared on "Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures" (Cinemax, 2000-01).
