Archie Savage
Archie Savage has built an incredible presence on the big screen throughout his acting career. Savage marked his early career with roles in "Jammin' the Blues" (1944), "His Majesty O'Keefe" (1953) with Burt Lancaster and the western "Vera Cruz" (1954) with Gary Cooper. Savage then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in the crime feature "The Garment Jungle" (1957) with Lee J. Cobb, the musical comedy "This Could Be the Night" (1957) with Jean Simmons and "South Pacific" (1958) with Rossano Brazzi. He also appeared in the Marcello Mastroianni dramatic comedy "La Dolce Vita" (1961) and the western "Death Rides a Horse" (1967) with John Philip Law. Later in his career, Savage appeared on the African Students at the University of Rome documentary "Appunti per un'orestiade Africana" (1970). Savage passed away in February 2003 at the age of 89.
