Bernie Taupin
Throughout his career, Bernie Taupin's musical talent was featured in a variety of Hollywood productions. Taupin worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" (1974), "Friends" (1971) starring Sean Bury, "La Marge" (1976), "One Deadly Summer" with Isabelle Adjani (1983), "Slap Shot" (1977) starring Paul Newman and "To Russia... With Elton" (1979). In the nineties, Taupin devoted his time to various credits, such as "Rocketman" with Harland Williams (1997), "The Matchmaker" (1997), "Sliding Doors" (1998) starring Gwyneth Paltrow and "Without Limits" (1998). Taupin continued to exercise his talent in the early 2000s, taking on a mix of projects like "Elizabethtown" with Orlando Bloom (2005), "House of D" (2005), "Running with Scissors" (2006) starring Annette Bening, the Steve Carell and Morgan Freeman box office smash "Evan Almighty" (2007) and "The Astronaut Farmer" with Billy Bob Thornton (2007). Taupin also provided music for "The Nephew." Taupin was nominated for a Best Original Song - Motion Picture Golden Globe Award for "Gnomeo & Juliet" in 2011.
