Rosa O Excellent storytelling. This documentary was informative, well-produced, profound and inspirational. I laughed, I cried and I learned a lot about music. Unique and refreshing. Loved the editing and colorful effects too. I highly recommend this gem. 💎 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/24 Full Review Cindy G I am an avid documentary watcher.. ( I enjoy honest, true stories). I seen this one advertised thru my Amazon list, and recognized Caleb Quaye, and was so intrigued to watch it! I found it to be above and beyond my expectations....So much so, that I watched it twice and will watch it again! I purchased the book " Louder than Rock", also thru Amazon, and it is SO GOOD! I highly recommend watching the Documentary AND reading the book...Everything " ties together" perfectly, and you get to know Caleb Quaye in a new and unforgettable, wonderful way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Patricia M A visual statement of music history as told through the life of Caleb Quaye. The final moments of the movie are especially heartwarming. This is a movie that the whole family would find beneficial. It should definitely be made available in theaters throughout the world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/30/23 Full Review Bret D His journey with music personally, performitively and artistically is an honest and respectful portrayal of his life and those who are a part of it. His approach to sharing faith is on brand for him. In all the years I've heard him share his faith it is always just his story and he invite others to make their own story with faith in Jesus. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/28/23 Full Review Lee H Having been a music lover, follower and fan of Elton John's music this was a must see for me. I always loved Caleb Quaye playing on Skyline Pidgeon in 1968 and was excited to see him back with Elton in the mid 1970's. Never did I know how volatile the band members health and wellness was. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/24/23 Full Review Sam C This documentary is a "hidden gem"! If you were a pop music fan in the 70s, you may not have heard of Caleb Quaye, but you certainly heard his guitar playing behind some of Elton John's iconic music. Quaye's influence was more than "backing guitar" (he's acknowledged by Eric Clapton as being the best guitarist in the industry), he engineered and helped write some of Elton's earliest material. Quaye's life journey took him to a new "career": a Christian performer and pastor based in Southern California. Now in his 70s, Quaye continues to be a prolific performer, teacher and influencer. Louder Than Rock takes us along with Quaye, from childhood up to today. Interesting, well produced, and informative for anyone interested in the behind-the-scenes workings of music industry that elevated Elton John, and those who supported and worked for Elton, to heights of super-stardom.
