Bobby Rydell
Bobby Rydell was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Red Skelton Timex Special" (CBS, 1960-61) and "Dick Clark Presents the Rock 'n Roll Years" (ABC, 1973-74). He also took on a few movie roles at the time, appearing in the comedic adaptation "Bye Bye Birdie" (1963) with Janet Leigh. Rydell also lent his vocal talents to "Marco Polo Junior" (1973). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "American Bandstand's 33 1/3 Celebration" (1985-86), "Liberty Weekend" (ABC, 1985-86) and "The 1986 Miss Teen USA Pageant" (CBS, 1985-86). Rydell also created music for the Tony Danza comedy "The Hollywood Knights" (1980). Rydell also contributed music to the Chris Makepeace comedy "Vamp" (1986). Rydell most recently appeared on "Bobby Rydell: Wild About Bobby" (2001-02).
