Claire Davenport
Claire Davenport was a big screen film actress known for powerful performances. Davenport's career in acting began with her roles in various films like "On the Buses" (1971), the Peter Blake comedy "Intimate Games" (1976) and the Nicky Henson musical comedy "The Bawdy Adventures of Tom Jones" (1976). She also appeared in "Adventures of a Plumber's Mate" (1978). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "Carry on Emmannuelle" (1978), "Birth of the Beatles" (1979) and the comedic fantasy "Jubilee" (1979) with Jenny Runacre. She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Casanova" (1980-81). During the latter part of her career, she continued to act in the Anthony Hopkins dramatic adaptation "The Elephant Man" (1980), the Mark Hamill hit action picture "Return of the Jedi" (1983) and "War Requiem" (1989). Davenport more recently acted in the dramatic adaptation "The Tempest" (1991) with Heathcote Williams.
