Clem Bevans was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Bevans started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Way Down East" (1935) with Henry Fonda, the musical comedy "Rhythm on the Range" (1936) with Bing Crosby and "Come and Get It" (1936). He also appeared in "Idol of the Crowds" (1937), the comedy "Riding on Air" (1937) with Joe E Brown and "The Big City" (1937). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties, appearing in the Wayne Morris comedy "The Smiling Ghost" (1941), "Captains of the Clouds" (1942) and "The Forest Rangers" (1942) with Fred MacMurray. He also appeared in the musical "Happy Go Lucky" (1943) with Mary Martin. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Highway 13" (1949), the Macdonald Carey remake "Streets of Laredo" (1949) and the dramatic comedy "The Gal Who Took the West" (1949) with Yvonne De Carlo. He also appeared in "Deputy Marshall" (1949) with Jon Hall and the Rosalind Russell comedy "Tell It to the Judge" (1949). Bevans last acted on "The Twilight Zone" (CBS, 1959-1964). Bevans passed away in August 1963 at the age of 84.
