Craig Vye
Young heartthrob actor Craig Vye is best known for his starring role in the popular daytime soap "Hollyoaks," but before his meteoric rise to fame he paid his dues on the stage. Vye set his sights on performing at a young age, appearing in commercials and making his TV debut as a teen in the dramatic series "London's Burning" in 1996. His stage work came as a member of the Big Spirit theater company, where he found his footing in numerous productions including Bertolt Brecht's "Mother Courage," "Lord of the Flies," as well as "Hamlet" (as Rosencrantz) and "A Midsummer's Night's Dream." He also continued his TV work with a starring role on the family show "Aquila" and appearances in movies on TV ("Summer in the Suburbs") and in cinemas ("My Brother Tom"). He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2005 and a year later got a big break with a supporting role in the youth-horror thriller "Wicked Little Things." It is as Ethan Scott, however, that Vye gained cult status, becoming a household name for his five-time per week appearances on "Hollyoaks," the show about the trials and tribulations of a group of community college students. In December 2011, Vye left the show to pursue other projects.
