Cymphonique Miller
Once touted as the "Next Big Thing" in teen-oriented pop music, Cymphonique Miller's rise to fame mirrored that of Miley Cyrus, another young talent from a musical family. A native of Los Angeles, Cymphonique Miller was the daughter of rap mogul Master P (Percy Robert Miller), who ran the record label No Limit Records and performed the hit single "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" (1998). Miller's famous family also included her older brother, rapper Romeo, who made his own mainstream impact by appearing on "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC, 2005- ). With an ear for music and performing arts in her blood, Miller pursued a career in the spotlight at a young age. She first gained national recognition in 2009 after competing in Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing," a contest held by the popular kid-centric station to discover young talent in the vein of Hilary Duff and Cyrus. Even though Miller placed second in the competition, it helped launch her career as an aspiring singer. Radio Disney began playing Miller's single "Butterflies" (2009) regularly and also sent her on the road as a supporting act for teen superstars such as Demi Lovato and Ashley Tisdale - all of which gave the young performer great exposure.
